Dear Honorable Ms Sabine Sparwasser,
We are writing on behalf of the Russian Canadian Democratic Alliance and activists to express our sincere and deepest gratitude to the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Government, and to the People of Germany for extending hospitality to the citizens of the Russian Federation.
In the darkest hours of Russian history when for seven horrible months, the government of Russia is waging an unprovoked war with Ukraine, an independent, sovereign country, you agreed to help the citizens of the Russian Federation who refused to support the regime and commit war crimes by joining the military forces attending the conflict zone. By accepting those fleeing from Russia, you are saving lives and preventing further genocide of Ukrainian citizens.
The People of Germany have demonstrated the highest kindness, generosity and commitment to human rights and freedom. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to the government and the People of the Federal Republic of Germany for this noble act.
