WHO WE ARE
Russian Canadian Democratic Alliance (RCDA) is a federal non-government organization registered in Ontario, Canada.
To contribute to the development of the Russian Canadian community around the ideals of democracy, human and civil rights, and the rule of law.
– We condemn all wars ever waged by Russia, including the military aggression against Ukraine in 2014, which escalated into a full-scale invasion in February 2022.
– We oppose colonial and imperial mentality and believe that Russia, like Canada, must undergo a process of decolonization.
– We stand for equal rights for all regardless of one’s gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, skin color and eye shape, physical or mental abilities.
– We demand that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights be observed in Russia.
To form a strong community and create a platform for Russian Canadians and Russians in Canada who share democratic values.
What We Have Already Done
Even before the RCDA was created, our activists were supporting Russian human rights organizations, organizing and participating in rallies, organizing evenings of letter-writing to political prisoners, and fundraisers for humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including the most recent one, which you can support at gofundme. We plan to continue these activities under the RCDA.
What to Expect in the Future
On our social media, we will be publishing information about the events, initiatives, and rallies corresponding to our mission and values. In particular, we plan to announce protests, concerts of Russian musicians openly opposing the war, lectures, conferences, meetups and other cultural events.
You can ask us any questions that you have or that you think the organization should address. Please contact us through private messages on social media or at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We are a non-profit organization, but we don’t have charitable status – we won’t be able to provide a charitable tax receipt for your donation.

We acknowledge that these lands are now home to many First Nation, Inuit, and Métis communities. We honour the Traditional Owners of the land on which we live and work. We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present, and future, and also to the land itself. We are all interconnected as treaty people with shared obligations to learn, respect, honour, and sustain. We’ve been reflecting on our responsibility to follow the knowledge, leadership, and guidance of local Indigenous Peoples to ensure the health and integrity of these lands and waters for generations to come.
As we are located in different cities in Canada and not all gathered in the same space, we recognize that this land acknowledgment might not be appropriate for the territory that you are currently on. We ask that if this is the case, you take the responsibility to acknowledge the traditional territory you are on, and the current treaty holders.
