Yulai Ayupov
Yulai is a father of two children, environmental activist, protector of shihan Kushtau (shihan or shikhan is a single hill). Before detention Yulai was a construction worker and a football and volleyball fan. In the beginning of February he was remanded in custody and accused in participating in mass riots in Baymak.
Ilyas Baigyskarov
Ilyas is twenty-five years old and he is held captive in a pre-trial detention center for participation in a meeting in Baymak. Being free, Ilyas tried to contribute to Bashkir history preservation and region development. He also developed his favorite business – ethnic barbershop Karasakal. Ilyas and his wife are preparing to deliver their first child.
Dayan Valeev
Dayan was born in a small village. He started to work after graduating from the ninth grade as his family desperately needed money, Dayan was a construction worker. His older brother died, he has parents and a younger sister. Currently Dayan is in a pre-trial detention center for participation in a meeting in Baymak.
Rayat Davletbaev
Rayat is a hereditary beekeeper and he would be happy to pass this skill onto his son. He loves nature and to hike with his family. Before the arrest he took care of the farm and animals and often participated in environmental activities. Currently Rayat is in a pre-trial detention center for participation in a meeting in Baymak.
Umutbai Davletberdin
Umutbai is fifty-nine years old, he worked as a driver, did housekeeping and bred farm animals. He actively participated in social life: took part in environmental issues, helped with his machinery, planted trees. In February he was sent to pre-trial detention center for participation in meetings in Baymak.
Salavat Yelkibayev
Salavat is a father of three girls. He is a carpenter and crafted furniture to provide to his family and pay rent. He is the only breadwinner in the family – his mother is a pensioner and his father is disabled. Currently Salavat is in a pre-trial detention center for participation in a meeting in Baymak.
Vilur Karachurin
Vilur is a father of five children. He worked his entire life as a teacher and did some occasional construction jobs in spare time, he also is a housekeeper and a volunteer: Vilur participated in mosque reconstruction in Baymak. Right now he is in a pre-trial detention center for participation in a meeting in Baymak.
Aitugan Kitikov
Aitugan has married recently and bought a car, he and his wife were going to buy a house. Currently he is in a pre-trial detention center because he came to support activist Fail Alsynov during the announcement of his sentence. Before the arrest Aytugan worked as an installer, was into beekeeping and woodburning and crafted pictures.
Munir Isyangildin
Munir is a father of two children, and currently he is in a pre-trial detention center for participation in mass riots in Baymak. Munir worked as an electric and gas welder, was interested in fishing and spent a lot of time with his family. Munir suffered from otitis, which exacerbated in pre-trial detention center, his kidneys and liver hurt as well.
